Advocacy

We regularly use our voice to lobby local government and other leadership bodies for investment, support and commitment to the economic growth of our local screen sector. Examples of our advocacy activity:
​

• Presenting to the Christchurch City Council (CCC) to urge them to retain the Screen Canterbury Production Grant in the Long Term Plan budget
• Presenting annually to Christchurch City Council and other investors on economic development opportunities and ROI of our sector
• Mobilising our membership to make several written and verbal submissions on the benefits of the Screen Production Grant and sector.
• Participating in roundtable discussion on screen strategy and leadership in the city
